Another Tack...

After speaking with my friend, Aaron Van Etten (producer of Conejo's ...Forum and husband of Celeste Russi), I started thinking on the tack of possibly localizing ATTWN to America, specifically California's central coast. The Cambria coastal area is just as plausible as the south coast of Devon, and in keeping with Christie's August 8th date, the closest year when it falls on a Friday would be 1941. That would put the events four months before Pearl Harbor. Coincidentally, Angel Street opened on December 5, 1941, two days before Pearl Harbor was attacked.

I'm going to spend the next several days fleshing out the details of what would need to be altered slightly to make the script Americanized. Doing so would help get over the dual alienation of both British slang and dated slang. Hopefully it will personalize the material a bit more.
